FREE 24-HOUR CRISIS SUPPORT

WALK-IN CRISIS ASSISTANCE

8990 Old Annapolis Road,  Suite A , Columbia, MD 21045

Anyone in need of immediate assistance may walk in to Grassroots 24 hours a day to see a counselor. An appointment is not needed to receive services. There is no fee for the service.

An individual or family will meet with a compassionate crisis counselor, peer recovery specialist or urgent care clinician, who will support them, provide resources and guide them toward a positive resolution.

Short term follow-up is offered until the client is connected with appropriate ongoing counseling or treatment resources. Walk-in counseling is geared towards the person or family in need of immediate support or crisis intervention services for a mental health, personal, situational, housing or family crisis.

Individuals can also access Grassroots’ free, 24-hour food and hygiene pantry. Various items are available to anyone who is need of support. Please walk in to ask for non-perishable food items or hygiene products like diapers, shampoo, body wash and more.

You can also call 410-531-6677 or 988 to talk with a counselor.  You may also text 988 or chat online by clicking here.
