Grassroots Crisis Intervention announces that it has elected two new members to its Board of Directors. Howard County residents Kulsoom “Kay” Kagzi and Liz Wilkinson have joined the Board, bringing diverse experience to help grow Grassroots’ impact in the community.
As a seasoned healthcare leader with 26 years of pharmacy experience across various sectors in hospital, retail, pharmaceuticals, clinical consulting, and industry relations, Kagzi has actively championed mental health and substance use disorder initiatives. Her commitment to giving back stems from a belief in the power of small, incremental actions to create meaningful change.
According to Kagzi, “I am inspired by Grassroots because of its profound and positive impact on the lives of individuals in our community. The center’s mission aligns perfectly with my passion for ensuring vulnerable populations have access to essential healthcare. Contributing to a team that addresses urgent community needs resonates deeply with my commitment to compassionate care.”
Wilkinson, who works as part of Amazon’s content acquisition team, is driven by a deep passion for using data, analytics, and innovative thinking to drive positive change. While she’s had the opportunity to help large corporations grow and evolve, she has also looked to apply those same skills to serving the greater good of her local community.
