Glen Mar Golf Classic Raises Over $26,000 For Grassroots

The 6th Annual Glen Mar Golf Classic was a huge success.  It sold out, fielding 128 golfers, and brought in over $26,000 to support Grassroots programs and services.

The Glen Mar Golf Classic Team ignored the weather and outdid themselves in making this the best tourney to date.  Members included Libby Boswell, Phil Enstice, John Hampshire, Barbara Julian, Don Lee and Sue Shipp. The delicious lunch was provided by George and Sally Dohner.

Tournament winners included Yoko Horner, women’s longest drive; James Palogi, men’s longest drive; Brian Derby, men’s closest to the pin; Bernie Richards, Marshall Boswell, Carole Contel, Circle of Cash.  The winning women’s team for the second year in a row included Lois Fitzgerald, Janice Retier, Muriel Turner and Jenny Archer.  The winning men’s team included Matt Poole, Tom Ronnenburg, Marshall Boswell and Richard Down.
Next year’s Glen Mar Golf Classic is set for May 14, 2018.
