Walk-in crisis assistance

Grassroots Crisis Intervention provides free, in-person support to adults, youth and families dealing with substance use issues, no insurance, referrals or appointments needed. Walk-in crisis assistance is available onsite at 8990 Old Annapolis Road, Suite A in Columbia. We always have a nurse and trained crisis personnel on site to provide access to free screening, brief intervention & referral to treatment, along with full assessment, short-term withdrawal management, counseling and peer support.

Our program serves as a bridge to treatment by meeting individuals where they are, removing barriers (related to health insurance, transportation, and medical or mental health needs), and offering support until we can connect them to care and long-term treatment.
