Hammond High School’s National Art Honor Society, Art Club and Culinary Arts Department are hosting “Empty Bowls 2016,” a community fundraiser for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, on Friday, Feb. 26, from 6 – 9 p.m., in the cafeteria. Admission is $10 and includes an all-you-can-eat soup and bread dinner and a handmade ceramic bowl. Soups are made fresh and donated by faculty, parents and students.

The ceramic soup bowls have been created by Hammond High School students. All of the proceeds from the event go to Grassroots, Howard County’s only 24-hour crisis center and homeless shelter.
