- 9th Annual Suicide Prevention Symposium
November 16, 2018
11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Now rescheduled for November 16.
Suicide is a serious and preventable public health issue. Currently suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States taking close to 45,000 lives each year. It affects people of all ages, socioeconomic groups, ethnicities, cultures and religions. Suicide is one of the most preventable types of death and there are services available in our community for the assessment and treatment of suicidal behaviors and their underlying causes.
September 9th through September 15th is National Suicide Prevention Week and as a community we can work together, stay connected, share information and reach out to help those who are in pain and at risk for suicide. Please join Grassroots Crisis Intervention in supporting suicide prevention. Each of us can make a difference. More information about sessions will be announced toward the end of July.
