Cranksgiving

The Howard County Office of Transportation and the Downtown Columbia Partnership will host the fifth annual Cranksgiving on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. to benefit Grassroots. Cranksgiving offers residents a chance to engage in active recreation while raising awareness about Howard County’s bikeable pathways and collecting food donations for individuals and families in need.

Participants will bike from their homes to the Plaza at the Mall in Columbia (near Seasons 52), picking up food items along the way to donate to Grassroots Day Resource Center at Leola Dorsey pantry. Registration is free; you only need to purchase the food you’ll donate. Columbia Villages, along with any other interested communities, are invited to compete to see who can donate the most.
