Burleigh Manor Middle School Hosts Zumbathon

Burleigh Manor Middle School ended the school year with a Zumbathon to raise funds for Grassroots, Howard County’s 24-hour crisis intervention center and shelter for the homeless. The school donated over $2,000 to Grassroots from various fundraisers during the school year. This is the second year that Burleigh Manor Middle School teacher Michelle Pierantozzi-Cassel, who is also a Zumba instructor, organized the benefit. She was assisted by Laura Sines who is shown leading students in exercises. Sines has donated many hours of her time to raise money for Grassroots through Zumbathons at local schools.
